Social Wellbeing (Healthy Ageing) Program Coordinator

Background

World Wellness Group is looking for an experienced group program coordinator who will organise and coordinate a schedule of monthly group activities for CALD older adults that enhance social wellbeing, healthy ageing, physical wellbeing, natural disaster preparedness and promote independence. The coordinator undertakes individual social wellbeing assessments, organises the logistics for group attendances for older adults, and arranges guest speakers and activities for the groups. The position will focus on:

(a) Developing, tailoring and delivering monthly group activities for CALD older adults
(b) Organising and coordinating the logistics involved (transport, catering, family liaison etc.)
(c) Collecting data for the evaluation of the program
(d) Managing quality and risk

General Practitioners

We are looking for friendly, professional GPs to join our team due to very high demand in our clinic. Read below to see if you could be our newest addition to the team.

 

Our GP clinic is:

A fully bulk billed clinic, fully computerised (best practice), has great staff support and an excellent team environment, has nursing support, has a large allied health team and psychiatry on-site, sees a diverse patient group, including refugees, people seeking asylum, migrants, international students as well as local community members

 

We offer a friendly and supportive team environment with specific supports in relation to working with interpreters and patient support and follow up to maximise appointment attendance.  We also offer opportunities in relation to research, training, supervision and mentoring of new GPs.  

 

 

We also offer:

Flexible hours – full-time, part-time or sessional, After hours considered, Industry remuneration.

 

We would love to hear from you if you are a GP who:

Has full registration, enjoys working in a multicultural environment, relishes the challenges of working with marginalised populations, has a strong interest in mental health, enjoys working in a team environment, is interested in integrated care approaches including complementary medicines, has availability for a number of weekly or fortnightly sessions, is willing to bulk bill.

Psychiatrists

Great opportunities for Consultant Psychiatrists looking for part-time or sessional work. Our Psychiatry Program is an important component of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Service.  

 

The Psychiatry Program is:

 

A fully bulk billed service, fully computerised (Best Practice), has great staff support and an excellent team environment, has a large allied health team and GPs on-site, sees a diverse patient group, predominantly refugees, migrants and people seeking asylum, undertakes once-off mental health assessment and a GP management plan, and provides some ongoing care. We offer a friendly and supportive team environment with specific supports in relation to working with interpreters and patient support and follow up to maximise appointment attendance.
