How we can help you

Our team can help you, in your preferred language, understand and access government-funded aged care services and relevant community supports. Aged care services can include in-home care and care in a residential facility. We are sensitive and understand your cultural needs.

Language-matched support

Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Filipino and English — and we’ll arrange interpreters for any other language.

We can meet you in your home, or an environment you are comfortable in.

Our team can speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Hindi, Filipino and English, be we cater for all languages. If you speak another language, let us know and we can arrange someone to assist you.

Program 02: Seniors Connect Program

The Multicultural Seniors’ Wellbeing Group is an 8-week structured program for multicultural seniors living in Brisbane North who are feeling socially isolated. This group is for multicultural seniors who would like to increase their confidence, learn new skills, create new connections, and reduce feelings of social isolation. This group is for people 60 years or older, from a multicultural background and committed to attend one session per week for 8 consecutive weeks.  

This program is completely free, and light snacks will be provided at the weekly sessions.

Registration essential.

A structured program for multicultural seniors in Brisbane North who feel socially isolated — build confidence, learn new skills and make new connections.

Seniors Connect Program

The Multicultural Seniors’ Wellbeing Group is an 8-week structured program for multicultural seniors living in Brisbane North who are feeling socially isolated. Multicultural Seniors Social Group

Our Multicultural Seniors’ Social Groups meets monthly at two locations –

Witton Barracks Indooroopilly on the third Thursday of each month from 10am – 1pm.

Chermside Library on the fourth Monday of each month from 1pm – 3pm.

We support seniors to make new social connections and friendships and while learning about healthy ageing and staying independent. These groups have morning tea/ afternoon tea provided and are completely free to attend.

Seniors who do not speak English are encouraged to join.

We provide language and cultural supports. Please register if you need this support.

Multicultural Social Link Group for Seniors

We have a multicultural social group for seniors meeting every 2nd Wednesday of the month at the Zillmere Community Centre from 10am to 1pm.

We support seniors to make new social connections and friendships while learning about healthy ageing and staying independent. 

The group is free and open to people from multicultural backgrounds aged 60 years and over. Seniors who do not speak English are encouraged to join.
