Problem Management Plus (PM+) is a structured, low-intensity brief intervention developed by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The program teaches a range of coping strategies to help you manage stress, work through problems, and strengthen your social support and overall wellbeing.

Our goal is to empower you with skills for self-management and to ease the practical challenges of daily life.

Brief Overview

Problem Management Plus (PM+) offers a structured, low intensity and brief intervention developed by the World Health Organisation (WHO).

The program provides a range of coping strategies to effectively manage various aspects of day to day life, including stress, problem solving and strengthening social support and wellbeing.

Our goal is to empower clients for self management and to reduce practical challenges that they may face.

Criteria

  • Multicultural background living in the Brisbane North and South region.
  • Aged 18+ .
  • Have a mild mental health condition.
  • Will benefit from support to increase coping skills for self management and willing to engage in a structured program.

Service Delivery

Option 1: 7x individual sessions

  • 2 x face-to-face assessment and planning sessions are undertaken by a Mental Health Practitioner called pre- and post- assessments.
  • 5 x 90 minute weekly face-to-face sessions (over 5 weeks).
  • Telephone support between sessions if you require extra level of support.

 

Option 2: 7 x sessions combination of individual and group sessions

  • 2 x face-to-face individual assessment and planning sessions are undertaken by a Mental Health Practitioner called pre- and post- assessments
  • 5 x group support sessions (8-10 participants).
  • Telephone support between sessions if you require extra level of support.

 

Location

  • WWG Clinic at Woolloongabba
  • At client’s preferred location, including home.

Referral

We work with interpreters and Multicultural Peer Support Workers. We speak your language.

After Hours Services

Available on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

From 6.00pm to 8.30pm.
